Happy 4th of July from Long Live the Republic!

We here at LLTR wish everyone across our great nation a wonderful, safe, and fun 4th of July!

Keeping this short, here are two perfect pieces for today.  The first is a "public service announcement" from the one and only, Mike Rowe.  With not a little bit of humor, he's got a great message for all of us today.  The second is a thought-provoking piece by Larissa Phillips, about patriotism, love of country, and the intellectual fissures stressing us as citizens today.
