Honoring Service on Veteran's Day

November 11 is a day set aside to recognize the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.  Their commitment, whether in times of peace or conflict, reflects a dedication to principles that define our nation: liberty, unity, and responsibility.  Veteran’s Day reminds us that the freedoms we enjoy today were safeguarded by those willing to serve.

Veteran’s Day is an annual reminder of the importance of virtue for the Republic.  Civic virtue implies service, and service requires courage, discipline, and a sense of duty.  Today, take a moment to thank a veteran, learn their story, or simply pause to appreciate the sacrifices made for our common good.   Honoring service is part of honoring America’s future.
