Neither Cynicism nor Nihilism

“Let neither the cynicism nor nihilism of others defeat your sober and sincere patriotism.”

One of our earliest designs is an original phrase and a key part of our Modern series.  It was inspired by the many ongoing debates today about the value of the American experiment.  While having a critical eye towards our selves (and most especially towards our government) has always been an element of the American psyche, in recent years the questioning – and even flat out rejection – of anything good arising from America’s place in history has reached a new pitch.

Thus, our Neither Cynicism nor Nihilism set was created for all those who, while recognizing the imperfections we have carried since our creation, are proud of the very real and very positive contributions America has provided for the world.  No country is perfect just as no family or individual is perfect.  And yet we can recognize and celebrate the good and the righteousness that each in fact brings to the world.
